The Middle East is a region where vehicle is king and jatropha curcas fuel is inexpensive, frequently leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have pressed up the price of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
